Holiday Island Garden Club grew beautiful tulips in our Community Garden box. They were harvested this week and delivered to Peachtree Village residents, just in time to add color and joy to the Easter Season.
The Holiday Island Garden Club kicked off the year 2020 with a session on deer-resistance plants, flowers, shrubs & trees; as well as fencing options. Gerri Hamby from Planter’s Paradise and Malcom Brumley from Stateline Reliable Fencing presented.

In honor of National Garden Week and remembering the history of Garden Clubs, we donned our favorite 1950’s attire and feasted on a delicious lunch at Bombadil’s Cafe in Eureka Springs. The lunch was hosted by our Garden Club President Donna Grimes. Thank you, Donna!
In preparation for the Mother’s Day Plant & Flower Sale, Monica Kidwell taught us how to add bling to our flower arrangements. Thank you, Monica!
Garden Club members participated in the Holiday Island Community Connection Fair.
Members of the Holiday Island Garden Club attended the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs Conference in Little Rock. Our winning awards were: 2nd Place for Best Yearbook, 2nd Place for Garden Club Membership and 1st Place for the Heritage Award. Pictured on the right is HIGC President, Donna Grimes.
Christmas bags were donated to Eureka Springs preschool classes from the Holiday Island Garden Club.
